Work Packages

Management & Coordination

Lead: CNRS

This work package focuses on the overall management and coordination of the CONCERTO project ensuring all activities are well-organized, monitored, and aligned with the project’s goals and timeline. It includes tracking progress, managing resources, and ensuring that project milestones and deliverables are met on time.

Portfolio Activities

Lead: BIBM

This work package aims to create synergies among the six sister projects of the EIC Pathfinder Challenge “Towards cement and concrete as a carbon sink”: CILANTRO, CONCERTO, C-SINC, ECO-SLAG-CEM, MOJITO and X-SeeO₂. It focuses on strengthening collaboration across the Portfolio, identifying technological, scientific and regulatory synergies, addressing common barriers to innovation, and supporting the uptake and exploitation of the solutions developed by the six projects.

Dissemination, Communication & Valorization

Lead: CNRS Innovation

This work package is responsible for the dissemination of the project’s results. It raises awareness about the project through communication channels such as websites, social media, publications, and events. The goal is to maximize the visibility and impact of the project, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, industry professionals, and the public.

Cement Manufacturing

Lead: LMPS, LPS (CNRS, Université Paris-Saclay)

This work package aims to optimize the production process of the silico-magnesia cement developed in the project. It focuses on scaling up manufacturing, improving the quality and properties of the cement, and ensuring that the production process is efficient and sustainable for industrial use.

Hydration Activation

Lead: LPS, LMPS (CNRS, Université Paris-Saclay)

This work package focuses on optimizing the hydration process of the novel cement to enhance its performance. It involves testing various additives and modifying hydration conditions to improve the robustness and long-term durability of the cement under different environmental settings.

Admixtures for Mortars and Concretes

Lead: SIKA France

This work package investigates and develops the necessary admixtures to enhance the properties of mortars and concretes made with the new silico-magnesia cement. The goal is to ensure the right chemical balance to improve workability, durability, and overall performance in various construction applications.

Precast Applications

Lead: MABA

This work package focuses on the testing and validation of precast concrete elements made with the novel cement. It assesses the durability, carbonation behavior, and corrosion resistance of precast elements, ensuring they meet the necessary standards for both performance and sustainability.
